Monday, December 28, 2015

It’s the start of a New Year and a new month of programming!  We’re excited to show you all of the things that we have going on for children – and we’re positive that you’ll find something intriguing in our offerings.  If you have any questions about our programs, please contact the library at 510-284-0640.  We hope to see you soon!

Homework Central is back from winter break on January 4th, and runs Monday – Thursday from 3:15 – 5:15pm during the school year. Elementary School students are invited to Homework Central where they will be assisted with homework by high school-age volunteers. Homework Central takes place in the Library’s Learning Center. The adult instructor is Kit Duggan, who is present at all times. This program, like all Library programs, is free. No registration necessary.

Bedtime Storytime is a great way for the family to wind down on Monday nights at 6:30 pm (closed January 18th). Join us for good books, games and songs, and though books will be aimed towards the preschool age group, everyone can participate. No registration necessary. Join the group in the Children’s Area of San Lorenzo Library!

Children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years of age should not miss Preschool Storytime at San Lorenzo Library on Wednesdays at 10:30 am. A wonderful mix of picture books, games and songs. No registration necessary! See you there.

The San Lorenzo Library Toddler Time program is for children ages 18-36 months and is held on Thursdays (1/7, 1/14 and 1/21) from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. This fun introduction to books, songs and games for our youngest Library patrons is also an opportunity for the parent to make new friends and socialize. The first half hour is a parent/child participation lap program, and the second half is a free play period when adults can visit, play and observe.

Join Ms. Lenora on January 16th and 30th at 10:30 am for Family Storytime! This storytime welcomes people of all ages, though books will be aimed at the preschool age. No registration necessary. Join us in the Children’s Area!

Cuentos en Español / Spanish Storytime at San Lorenzo Library with Miss Olivia! El jueves, 28 de Enero / Thursday, January 28th at 10:30 am.
