Goodbye for Now! Yes, Virginia! The San Lorenzo Library will be moving, for a while, so we can grow. The San Lorenzo Library is lucky enough to have been the beneficiary of nine million dollars from Alameda County to expand the current fa…cility. The present library, with it’s wonderful large windows, will be preserved and new areas will be constructed including a meeting room, cafe, adult reading space, computers and laptop connections and much more. The new wing of the Library will feature the beautiful art windows chosen by a large committee from the San Lorenzo community. Please visit the Library before it closes to learn about the opening of a temporary location for library services in San Lorenzo at 16032 Hesperian Boulevard, San Lorenzo 94580. The temporary location will be open from March 2014 to Summer 2015 when the expanded Library building reopens. All Library services will be available at the Hesperian Boulevard location. And, don’t forget that you can always login to www.aclibrary.org to manage your account, place holds, etc. From December 2013 to March 2014, you need to have your holds sent to the Castro Valley Library. Call either the San Lorenzo Library (until December 31) or any other Alameda County Library for details about the San Lorenzo Library closure or the Library’s temporary location. The San Lorenzo Library’s new phone number will be 510-284-0640.
