Above, Dorothy Partridge, Chairperson of the San Lorenzo Library Advisory Committee, and Anthony Dos Santos, Branch Manager of the San Lorenzo Library, distribute information about the Library’s renovation project at a community “charrette,” a process in which citizens from various neighborhoods throughout the unincorporated area came together and voted for five improvement projects out of a list of twenty four.
Alameda County Supervisor Nate Miley sponsored the charrette on April 5 to assess priorities for the Eden Area Livability Initiative, an action plan that he calls an “integrated strategic vision” for improving the unincorporated communities. The Library’s project placed eighth in the priority lists.
