More On the Muses

Wednesday, March 19, 2008

More of the MusesSt. Patrick’s Day came early to the San Lorenzo Library with a foot stomping toe tapping Celtic trio from Colorado. Everywhere you looked, people were peering around their computer screens and wandering over from doing their homework to listen in. Several people also sang along to, “You take the high road and I’ll take the low road…” The Muses played many instruments, full sized harp, several guitars, Celtic drum, an electric violin and Celtic instruments. The crowd was made up of old and young and every nationality, which is San Lorenzo’s trademark. Be sure to come to the next celebration: Saturday, March 29th at 12 o’clock for the Filipino American Cultural Arts Festival.

Led by local performer, Shauna Shoptaw, the audience sang their way through the entire movie.

Be sure to join us at the Library for the upcoming Filipino American Cultural Arts Festival. Filipino American authors, musicians, film-makers and historians will celebrate Filipino American culture. Food will be served. An exciting event for everybody, March 29, 2008, 12-3 p.m. See you there!
